The inn’s special guests

⚠ Online service: the 23 celebrities were delivered by the DQVC (Wi-Fi shop), shut down by Nintendo in 2014 and revived since late 2018 by fan servers (today AltWFC). Canvassing guests makes the Stornway inn grow (rank 1 to 6, up to 30 guests, each from a different save: FAQ). Each celebrity staying in a royal suite hands over the pieces of their outfit on five occasions — including the hero’s birthday.

How it works: Stornway inn: guests and royal suites

The essentials

By canvassing other players (multiplayer, console closed), you bring guests back to the Stornway inn, which grows from rank 1 to rank 6 (30 guests). The 23 celebrities staying in the royal suites each give the five pieces of their outfit.

Canvassing (multiplayer mode, lid closed) brings guests to the Quester’s Rest. Erinn puts them up in the lounge: 30 at most.

The rank climbs one step at a time and never goes back down, even when guests leave.
Royal suites: no rank requirement. Six celebrities can stay at once; the guest register checks them in or asks them to leave (sending someone away may keep them from coming back). The 23 celebrities were delivered through the Wi-Fi shop (DQVC), closed in 2014 and reopened by fan servers (today AltWFC; offline: DQVC at home).
Gifts: each celebrity hands over a piece of their outfit when they check in, on the hero’s birthday (the profile date, checked against the console clock), when the inn reaches rank 6, when the hero has their vocation, and after the Inn Awards final (quest 157). Once each, and only for the world’s own hero: a visiting player gets nothing.
