9. Bloomingdale and the Bad Cave
Marion Bloome met (Bloomingdale)
- Bloomingdale is south-west of the Lonely Plains (you can go there before Zere Rocks: better gear). Talk to the old man at the harbour, who mentions Marion Bloome's ship.
- By day, go to the Bloome manor in the north: see Marion, who takes against you for no reason.

Marion kidnapped (Bloomingdale)
- In the small house to the west, the old lady talks about Marion's doll, made by a man living near the church. In the armour shop in the middle of town, talk to Randolph, the toymaker.
- Go back to the manor with him: Marion has been kidnapped and is held in a cave to the north.

Tyrantula defeated (the Bad Cave)
- Talk to the ghost and follow it to the grave in the south of the manor garden: it is the real Marion, long dead; the kidnapped “Marion” is Marionette, her doll, brought to life by a fygg.
- The Bad Cave is almost due north of Bloomingdale. On level 1, sit on the rickety chair in the middle: a kidnapper comes to talk and puts down a ladder.
- At the bottom (B2), Tyrantula attacks Marionette.

While searching for the fyggs, your hero has ended up in Bloomingdale, and has met the ghost of a young woman called Marion. Her doll, Marionette, who came to life when she ate a fygg, has been kidnapped, and is being held in a cave to the north. Marion has asked your hero to rescue her.

Your hero found Marionette, who had been kidnapped, deep in the cave north of Bloomingdale, and rescued her from the fearsome Tyrantula. Marion's ghost then appeared, and asked Marionette to go back to being a doll.
Ship obtained (Bloomingdale)
- Go back to Bloomingdale: the doll, lifeless again, lies on Marion's grave. Examine the grave: the Fygg and a note leaving you the Bloome family ship.
- Go to the harbour: you have a ship, the whole ocean is open (lighthouses and islands too).
The game's own summary
Returning from the cave after rescuing Marionette, your hero found her propped on Marion's grave in Bloomingdale, a lifeless doll once more, and retrieved fygg from her side.
Marionette became a doll once more, leaving fygg behind for your hero, and giving instructions that he be entrusted with the Bloome family's ship, the Pride of Bloomingdale!
